Red Ribbon Month!

This month, we will be learning all about being drug-free.  We already have our door decorated, letting everyone know what Room 112 thinks about drugs...

We will be adding to our display very soon, after we learn all about drugs and why they are bad for our bodies!  I'll be sure to update the blog with a new picture! :)

There are some special dress up days coming up at our school!  Please encourage your child to participate to bring awareness to being drug-free and the importance of saying "NO!"

Monday, 10/21: Wear RED for boldness!

Tuesday, 10/22: Wear WHITE for innocence and goodness!

Wednesday, 10/23: Wear BLACK for the darkness that comes from doing drugs and hurting others!

Thursday, 10/24: Wear YELLOW for the light that comes from making good choices!

Friday, 10/25: Wear MEADOW LANE COLORS because we are proud to be drug and bully free!

Fire Station/Park Field Trip!

We just got back from an awesome first field trip as 1st graders.  It was so fun to see all of the kids learn about fire safety and what fire fighters do.  Thank you to all of our volunteers for coming!

Oceans!!!

This week we have been learning about Oceans!  Yesterday we got to wrap up our unit by exploring some ocean baskets and creating our own oceans using markers and crayons!  We had so much fun and learned so much!!!
