Reading Magic Show

Today we had an opportunity to go to a magic show with Bruce. He told us all about how reading is great and how we can be super learners when we read!!

Habitats!

We have worked so hard on our habitats and are so excited to share them with all of our 1st grade friends! They will be coming home soon! 

Star of the Week -- Brian!

• Brian is 7 years old
• His birthday is April 21st!
• He has a brother named Kobe and a sister named Jenessa.
• His favorite food is Cheese pizza & fish sticks
• His favorite movies are: Space Chimps and Toy Story
• He loves to be outside, play on his tablet, watch his brother play XBOX 360, and go for rides in the car.
• He doesn’t speak much, but he understands everything that is said to him and he likes everybody!

Math

Today we had a lot of fun working together to solve math problems. It was fun to see the kids explain their solution method and share their answers with the class.

Reminders from Room 112!

• There will be no homework today, 4/9, or tomorrow 4/10.
• Tomorrow, 4/10, is Spirit Day - Wear Blue for Autism! It is also a popcorn Friday. Students may purchase 1 bag of popcorn for 25 cents.
• Shoeboxes are due Monday, 4/13. Please send one to school with your child if you haven't already.
• The Art Fair and PTA Silent Auction is coming up on Thursday, 4/16.
• Habitat donations (that we will use to make our habitats) are needed by Friday, 4/17. If you are interested in donating, please send it to school with your child!
• No school on Friday, 4/24.

Reptiles to Go

On Monday, we had a visit from the nature center. We met a turtle and a snake. We even got to touch the snake!
