Valentine's Day in Room 112!

We had so much fun preparing for and celebrating Valentine's Day! We decorated our valentine's bags, did some valentine's activities, enjoyed a delicious treat, and then passed out our treats to each of our friends.

Working on writing

Today we shared our writing with our writing partners and shared some ideas that might make our stories better. It was so fun to hear some of the kids give feedback. I heard one of them say, "This part sounds like you may be excited. Maybe you want to use different punctuation than a period." I also heard, "I think you forgot your punctuation on this sentence. Remember to make a circle and jump in it!"

Makes this teacher's heart happy watching these little authors!

Information

Here is some important information:

• Due to the snow days yesterday, Wednesday folders are being sent home today. Please check your child's backpack for information on conferences and our Valentine's Day activities.
• We will have our spelling test tomorrow, but since we did not have school 2 of the 5 days, this grade will not be factored into your child's report card.
• Tomorrow is spirit day. Wear workout clothes.
• Tomorrow is also Popcorn Friday.
• Science Fair forms are due tomorrow.
